Only 5 kilometres from the centre of Ispica there is an extremely long fine sandy beach which extends for more than 15 Km. This beautiful beach can easily be reached by car or by public transport.Santa Maria del Focallo and Pozzallo are sea side towns situated very close to Ispica and near by there are many other wonderful places to explore such as Ciriga and Porto Ulisse. In the marvellous gulfs and bays in this area, the water is crystal blue and the sea is always calm as it is protected by the coast.

Ispica is situated in the province of Ragusa, in Sicily. The village is 5 Km far from the sea, built on a hill with a beautiful panorama. The city has been inhabited from the Palaeolithic era and has a very important ancient historical background. The Sicilians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Normans, the Spanish…have all settled in this area in the past. After the devastating earthquake in 1693, the local people had to move from the Caves to the actual position.
